This is the Children and Autism Foundation’s Centre with headquarters in the Province of Parma where the rehabilitation and parent training Services are delivered. The Centre, which is around 160 square metres in size, is equipped with rehabilitation rooms supplied with one-way mirrors and video-recording equipment for:
- enabling rehabilitation work to be observed by clinical teams and family members,
- permitting activities to be monitored and clinical material to be stored,
- facilitating the evaluation of treatment efficiency and progress.
Furthermore, there is a reception and waiting room, a workshop where the clinical team can plan their activities and create educational material, a special guarded archive for the clinical files, bathrooms and a changing room-cloakroom for users and operators.
The Centre is characterised by communication supports and rooms structured to help people with autism to orientate themselves and move around.
