A new edition of “Mosaicamente”, the mosaic exhibition made by adults in the autism spectrum from “Officina dell’Arte” of Pordenone, is coming to Trieste. On this occasion the exhibition doesn’t limit itself to only one artist like in the past, but is comprised of two art movements that have radically changed modern art: Pop Art and Street Art. The first one has brought the incredible transit from the “art of the few” to the “art of the many”. Pop Art centered itself, through its artists, around everything that has to do with day to day life and product serialization. Celebrated examples certainly are the Campbell soup can, Andy Warhol’s Coca Cola bottles or pictures of the jetset from that time period, reimagined with an artistic vibe. The latter, Street Art, has been and still is, much more contraposed to traditional art and without making use of the products of the capitalistic society, but yet being meant as “art for everyone” it escaped from the shapes and concepts of “classic” art. The “Writers” undoubtedly, emphasizing the idea of “art for the masses” free from any shackle, have exposed, in a variety of different styles, their works in the streets, squares, on public walls, often without asking for permission, drastically evolving the urban landscape and multiplying exponentially the possible final consumers of this art form. From this enticing and exciting subjects the artists from “Officina dell’Arte” have taken inspiration and have made, following their vision, many works bringing together an ancient and empirical art like mosaic and a more modern, unconventional and ever evolving art. The final result is in front of everyone and, as always has been, the public will give the final decree on the success of this somewhat “reckless” artistic project.
